Week 10 - Spring 2007
- On Tuesday morning (the 27th) there will an area study on Shinto at the famous Kamigamo Jinja.
- We also have a powerful East Asian Study this week on Friday the 30th, as we’ll be paying a visit to Osaka’s Kamagasaki district to learn about the situation with Japan’s homeless population, day laborers, and prostitutes. Accompanied by John Ashburne, we’ll also meet with a leader of a local NGO that works to help the day laborers.
- This Saturday and Sunday there will be a free taiko drumming concert near Kami Katsura station on the Hankyu line. Check the calendar for more details.
