Week 15 - Spring 2008
There has been a radical change in the weather as we enter the last week of the semester. Azaleas are blooming wildly and we have gone from intermittent use of heaters a week or so ago to walking around in tee shirts with no socks.
On Tuesday we will be attending a shakuhachi (bamboo flute) concert as the last class in our East Asia Studies course. Preston Houser, who is not only the teacher of the Behind the Mask class, but also a Master Shakuhachi player, will be performing.
To accommodate this change in schedule, the last Japanese history class will be moved to Thursday, 11 a.m.
Portfolios are due on May 6th.
Here are some pictures from Kyoto from a recent outing.

Spring is beautiful in Kyoto

One of the amazing things about Kyoto is the wildlife visible at the river.
